To (1) enhance and expand virtual networking and collaboration among researchers involved in the COST Action and (2) facilitate remote interaction, strengthen existing networks, and encourage new collaborations through virtual meetings, webinars, and other online activities, ProteoCure offers one grant of 2500 EUR for Virtual Network Support (VNS).
The Virtual Network Support Grants (VNS) are a networking tool available to all Action participants.
- The aim of this call is to award a grant to a person who will:
- take in charge the organisation and planning of our scientific webinars, open to all our participants and to the whole scientific community, and which will be organized on a higher frequency,
- take in charge the collection and recording of information about collaborations initiated within the Action (new collaborative projects, grants applications, scientific publications)
- assist the dissemination committee in developing ProteoCure’s visibility in Europe.
- Criteria for eligibility:
- Researcher and Innovators with appropriate affiliation as described in the Annotated Rules section 4.1.1.1.1. AFFILIATION.
Assessment criteria:
- All applications will be assessed by the Grant Evaluation Committee and be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Alignment with the VNS grant objectives
- Understanding of ProteoCure’s objectives, members and COST Actions’s operating mode
- Availability and commitment to carry out functions estimated to correspond to about a half-time job in the period August to October 2024

Compile the VNS Grant application package consisting of your application form for a VNS grant (https://www.cost.eu/VNS_GrantApplication) and a short CV. Please, submit your application package by e-mail to core.group at proteocure.eu, writing “VNS Grant Application” in the subject line of your email.
Online VNS Grant registration
The ProteoCure Grant Coordinator will inform you about the decision. Once notified of your proposal being accepted, you will be invited to submit your application through the e-COST web platform. You will receive guidelines from COST to use this online registration tool. These steps will allow you to receive your official Grant Letter.
Duration of the VNS
The VNS will start once the application has been approved by the ProteoCure Management Committee and will be carried out until the end of the Grant Period. The tasks must be completed by October 31st.
Final report and grant payment
The grantee has 15 calendar days from the end of the Grant Period to submit a report (https://www.cost.eu/VNS_Report), including:
• The list and brief description of virtual events and collaboration activities organised during the Grant Period.
• The contribution to the MoU objectives for each of the virtual events and collaboration activities
• The contribution to the COST Excellence and inclusiveness Policy, especially towards the support of researchers in COST Inclusiveness Target Countries.
• Stakeholder engagement and promoting participation of researchers from Near Neighbour Countries and International Partner Countries.
